The Story

Hey, ever switched from Android to iPhone and thought, "Wait, what happened to my calculator?" Yeah, me too. The iOS calculator was... well, let's just say it needed work.

So I started looking for alternatives in the App Store. But man, what a mess! Almost every calculator app either wants you to subscribe (seriously, for a calculator?), bombards you with ads, or probably secretly collects your data.

That's why I built Calcora. No subscriptions, no ads, no tracking - just a proper calculator that lets you fix typos, see results instantly, and actually works the way you expect. Simple as that.

Why Calcora Exists

Listen, switching from Android to iPhone should be exciting, not frustrating. But like many others, I hit a wall with the iOS calculator. Sure, iOS 18 finally stepped up their game, but it still lacks those key features we all got used to - you know, like seeing results as you type or moving the cursor around freely.

Let's be real - the iOS 17 calculator was rough. Like, really rough. As someone who constantly crunches numbers, I couldn't believe basic features were missing. The inability to edit calculations or see results instantly? That's what pushed me to create Calcora.

Calcora brings together the best of both worlds: the clean, minimalist design iPhone users love, with the practical functionality we all need. It's the calculator that should have been there from the start - quick, responsive, and actually helpful when you make a typo (because we all do).
